After days of debate and uncertainty, the US on Saturday
joined the UN-backed
military effort to enforce a no fly zone in Libya. This effort involves several
European nations, notably France and Britain, and, to date, one Arab nation,
Qatar. The Obama administration
has said that US involvement will be limited
to air strikes over a matter of “days, not weeks,” and that the US will pull
out once the initial phase of destroying Muammar Qaddafi’s air defenses is
completed.
The US’ decision to intervene, and its particular plan of
action, has prompted widespread debate.
What do you think our country should do in this
situation? Below are 5 courses of
action. Please take the poll below
and give us your choice, then read President Jerry Greenspan’s blog on this
matter and post your comments below the blog.
